Seahaven Academy currently has capacity for 750 pupils and it is intended to increase the capacity of the school to 900 pupils. The project is commissioned by East Sussex County Council (ESCC).

The new development includes demolition of steps and retaining walls in the vicinity of the existing main entrance and a new two-storey extension to the northern side of the school building.

Additionally there will be new car parking provision for the increased numbers of staff and a rearrangement of the school access within the site. Alterations to the external arrangement includes the re-location of the bin store, re-located cycle storage and a new access way between the school car park and the lower level playground.

Construction is due to be complete this year so make sure to check back at our news page for further updates.
