West Street Receives Planning

Noviun are pleased to announce that our residential scheme in West Street, Erith has received planning permission for 30 new homes in London.

Situated in Erith overlooking the River Thames, our latest scheme in Bexley creates 30 new apartments comprised of one and two bedrooms units.

Noviun worked closely with our client Bexley Co and the local residents to deliver a scheme on a complex infill site that sits harmoniously with its context.

As with all our projects we’ve worked to create a scheme that focuses on sustainability,  good quality architecture , health and well-being.

The scheme dispenses with fossil fuel gas heating, instead a centralised air source heat pump system with low temperature distribution serves all  the apartments where each unit has a water to water heat pump.

By optimising the orientation of the scheme 90% of the apartments contain dual purpose living spaces and a maximum number of flats enjoy views of the river Thames.

At ground floor level the flats have been designed to harness a change in level to increase privacy so whilst the window sills in these apartments are at mid height internally, they are set above pedestrian eye level when viewed from the pavement.

This is hot off the back of our appointment on a number of schemes in Elmbridge, London and planning permission being granted for our scheme in Wilde Road, also in Eirth, London.

Architect, Sophie Saarinen recently commented on the Future Homes Standard and the changes to building regulations Part L and F that the government are proposing. With a strong focus on climate change and the industry challenges that are faced, Noviun are primed to help combat the current crisis.
