Noviun’s Russell Gould and Sophie Saarinen have been selected to take part in the Portsmouth Phoenix a 3-day workshop exploring housing solutions in Portsmouth for young architects and planners, running from 4th March 2020.

The workshop, organised by Project Compass and hosted by Portsmouth University, will focus on schemes to replace two existing residential tower blocks that are scheduled for demolition due to safety concerns following the Grenfell disaster.

Finding creative solutions to successfully meet the demand for high-density social housing is a pressing issue across the country and this workshop allows the opportunity for the cross pollination of ideas.

Novuin will be bringing out evidence based design approach and focus on well-being as we continue to work to produce housing where residents can thrive.

This is another step into the housing sector, following the news that our West Street housing project in Erith for the London Borough of Bexley was recently granted planning permission.

Congratulations to both Russell and Sophie on their selection for this exciting project and we look forward to hearing how they get on. We will have further updates on our Journal page throughout the process.
