The project includes construction of a new 2 storey built facility integrated within the existing school campus. Uplands Community College will cater for 950 pupils aged 11 to 18.

The main building work is now complete with works now focusing on demolition, constructing the new MUGA and some light refurb works. External landscaping is due to to begin construction soon.

In addition, the new building consists of 14 new classrooms, specialist teaching areas and main facilities for the campus. This includes main reception, admin spaces and a main hall and dining with catering facility as seen below.

The new building follows on from the phased demolition of existing blocks A and L on the site. The building now delivers suitable teaching spaces for the community college.
