Last Wednesday members of the Noviun team went along to the Ferring Country Centre in Ferring, West Sussex to partake in our 2022 volunteering event.
This year the event took place at the Ferring Country Centre Riding School where we were tasked with giving the school a new lick of paint!
Members of the Noviun team across the office picked up a roller or a brush and got cracking and made light work of the first coats of paint to go on.
The day was a great success and we offer our thanks to Volunteer and Training Manager, Jackie Tomlin at the centre for helping us organise this years’ event.
Ferring Country Centre are a local, independent charity providing training and work experience for people with learning disabilities. Their customers develop better work and social skills by assisting us with the operation of our Riding Therapy Unit, Garden Centre, Rangers Café and Dales Farm.
The Centre was founded in 1986 by a small group of parents, who saw the need for their children to attend a meaningful setting. Over 30 years later, they are still as committed to people with a learning disability being an active part of their community, and developing their skills and confidence.
Dontations to the centre can be made by contacting them directly by following one of the links above.
We’re grateful again to the team at the centre for helping us volunteer, Noviun are always looking at ways in which we can increase our Social Value so if you think you might have an opportunity for us, please get in touch.
