This is a full-time on-site role as an Architectural Technologist at Noviun Architects in Chichester. As an Architectural Technologist, day-to-day you will be responsible for technical and working drawings, architectural drawings, and construction stage drawings. You will work closely with designers, technologists, and operations teams to support the design process and ensure the successful execution of projects in close coordination with main contractor teams.

  • 3 to 5 years minimum experience in working practice post-qualification
  • A minimum qualification to Architectural Technology degree level – BA or BSc
  • CIAT chartership acknowledgement is a benefit, but not a requirement.
  • A working knowledge of commercial sector Building Regulations is a must with awareness of other sector standards and guidance and what may be required.
  • Full competency in Revit and detailing is a must, we use Revit to produce all elements of the project from visuals to working 1:5 detailing.
  • A knowledge of NBS – either CAWS (NBS Building) or NBS Chorus, is desired but not imperative.
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team and equally self-motivated to provide information throughout stages 3-4 of RIBA work stages.
  • You will be expected to deal day-to-day with the contractor teams and other project stakeholders to resolve queries, this may include site visits and one-to-ones where elements of the work can be discussed and agreed upon following modern building practices.
  • Attend meetings with Noviun team as well as potentially on-site with contractor and design teams throughout the build stages to realise the scheme’s architectural intent.
  • Provide wider technologist support to other members of the team, bringing your own knowledge into conversations and designs.

Qualifications

  • Architectural Technology skills, including technical drawing and working drawings
  • Degree in Architectural Technology as a minimum
  • Full competency in Revit
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations and standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
  • Experience with BIM processes and software
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architectural Technology or related field

Salary £35K+ based on experience.

Noviun Architects is a growing architectural practice that specializes in the Education sector. We are currently looking for a talented Senior Architect with exceptional experience and skills to join our team in Chichester.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Architect with 5 years or more post ARB experience, excelling in dealing with clients, and a proactive team player with a collaborative mindset. Experience in the Education sector is desirable but not essential and you must be proficient in using Revit.

As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for managing and delivering projects from inception to completion. You must have proven skills in project management, communication, and the ability to work closely with a team. You will be expected to run projects and manage project teams.

You must be a strong communicator both visually and verbally, able to effectively present ideas and solutions to clients and colleagues. The successful candidate must be able to work in Chichester.
