Church Road, East Wittering

Noviun were appointed to carryout a feasibility study for this development in East Wittering for Charterhouse Strategic Land.

The site extends to circa 29.5 acres and is located to the northern side of East Wittering and currently used as farm land.

The proposal achieved 230 units on site consisting two, three and four bedroom houses with 30% affordable housing in accordance with the Chichester District Local Plan.

Parking and cycle provision have been allowed for in accordance with the local plan.

The proposal seeks to achieve,

  • Stronger links between public open spaces & housing units where possible.
  • Good quality public /amenity spaces.
  • A “Green ribbon” through the site where the current drainage water course exists.
  • Exact mix of unit types and position of affordable housing.
  • Robust materials and good house designs
  • Develop footpaths and connections with the adjoining housing to the south, to integrate the new development into the community.
