Academic
At Noviun we are committed to supporting the next generation of Architects and Technologists to develop in a practice environment.
We have supported many of our current staff in furthering their education, helping many of those members become fully qualified Architects and Technologists.
We are proud to say over 70% of the current practice have had some or all of their academic development sponsored and mentored through Noviun.
We continually attend Open Evening’s and Mock Interviews at Universities. Not only does this give us an opportunity to let students know what we are producing in practice on live jobs, it gives students an idea of how a practice will usually operate and where they might see themselves in the future.
Noviun are also now a proud part of the RIBA Student Mentoring programme, taking on many work experience students and students from universities looking to study for a career in Architecture.
Environment
As part of our social value, we are continually reviewing our impact on the environment. We have identified key aspects where we have a negative impact on the environment, namely: heating and cooling, travelling and our use of IT and paper.
We actively encourage re-use, recycle and minimizing waste and saving energy alongside the ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
A number of key initiatives surrounding climate change have begun within the industry and Noviun are keen to add value in these areas. The RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge challenges the industry to deliver net zero whole-life carbon for new buildings and full refurbishment projects by 2030.
Noviun have also become a signatory of the LETI (London Energy Transformation Initiative), a consultation on the Part L of the building regulations that relates to residential buildings and the Future Homes Standard.
Social
Over the years we have been involved in many events that raise money for charity from Jeans for Genes to Children in Need whilst and also sponsoring local events.
We are also proud to support our local community. Recently Noviun were given the opportunity to sponsor Chichester Rugby Club for the next two seasons. The money for which is used to help run the club successfully in this period.
This year Noviun volunteered at the Ferring Country Centre to paint their riding school.
