Continuous Digital Evolution

The speed and complexity of modern procurement mean technology can no longer sit on the sidelines—it has to lead. At Noviun, every project now starts in a federated 3-D Revit model, giving the whole team a shared source of truth from day one.


That model is managed against the ISO 19650 framework, ensuring information is structured, traceable and ready for facilities-management handover. Layered on top are AI-driven design and data-science tools that help us explore more options, spot risks earlier and deliver “right-first-time” decisions even faster.

BIM & Information Management

BIM as Standard

  • All components are modelled in 3-D from concept stage, enabling real-time visualisation, immersive client walkthroughs and automated quantity take-offs.

  • Rule-based clash detection runs in Navisworks/BIM 360 throughout coordination, using disciplined search-set rules and tolerance thresholds to resolve spatial and data clashes long before they reach site.

ISO 19650 Alignment

  • Our Information Management Plan sets clear Exchange Information Requirements, naming conventions and status codes that map directly to the UK BIM Framework guidance.

  • A Common Data Environment (CDE) makes sure the right people have the right information at the right time, underpinning the single-source-of-truth ethos across design and construction.

Artificial Intelligence & Automation

Concept Exploration

We use generative image tools like Stable Diffusion and DALL·E as part of our early design thinking. These tools help us visualise ideas quickly, experiment with style and form, and communicate intent before a single line is modelled. It’s not about creating finished designs—just opening up the conversation and speeding up iteration.

Day-to-Day Efficiency

Behind the scenes, AI also helps us build smarter tools. We’re actively using AI-assisted coding to develop custom software application add-ins and scripts that automate repetitive tasks, from sheet creation to model auditing.
This means we spend less time on manual steps and more time focused on the creative and technical decisions that matter.

Andy is one of our Managing Directors and is responsible for all aspects relating to developing the practice digital strategy.

Andy is heavily involved in the Information Management delivery within the office and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the management of information processes within a BIM environment on all projects across the practice.
