Planning submitted for Hemel Hempstead School

Planning has been submitted for our Hemel Hempstead School project in Hemel Hempstead featuring a new 3-storey building.

Noviun are delighted to be working with Tilbury Douglas on a new Secondary School building for the Hemel Hempstead School.

The new building on the existing site of the school will include provisions for new Classrooms, Staff Offices, DT Workshops, and Art Rooms.

The new building occupies a prominent position on site along the central north-south axis, reinforcing this as the main pupil route between buildings. The new build position facing the original and dominant existing Main Block better defines the top playing field by framing and enclosing this space, creating a new external quadrangle.

The new facility has been designed to continue to inspire pupils, through the provision of state-of-the-art facilities, while responding to future development requirements, such as Net Zero Carbon in Operation (NZCiO).

In response to the consultation and development carried out during the feasibility stage, the proposed site arrangement consists of a new three-storey school building located to the South of the main lawn, parallel to the existing row of mature trees and facing the Main Block heritage asset.

Noviun are providing Architectural and Information Management services on this exciting new scheme. We look forward to providing updates on this exciting project in due course.
